August 2025 was a defining month for Omar Rudberg, featuring headlining festival slots across Europe and the live debut of his new "vintage" sound.

 

Major Festival Performances

  • Stockholm Pride (Aug 1): Omar headlined the Spotify GLOW stage at Pride Park from 23:00 to 00:00. During the set, he briefly interrupted the concert to shout at a security guard in the audience who was reportedly hassling his mother.
  • Way Out West (Aug 9): He performed on the Linné stage at 14:30 in Slottsskogen, Gothenburg. This set was notable for the live debut of his track "Dying".
  • Feelings Festival (Aug 23): Omar performed at the Bergenhus Festning in Bergen, Norway, continuing his Nordic summer tour.
  • Superbloom Festival (Aug 30): He performed at the NeoNeo Stage in Munich, Germany.

 

Music and Media

  • "Dying" Era: While performing at Way Out West, Omar officially announced that his next single, "Dying," would be released on Friday, September 5, 2025. He teased the track as a soulful, "vintage" power ballad.
  • Wonderland Magazine: Omar was featured in the 20th Anniversary Issue of Wonderland, where he discussed his transition from acting to focusing on his pop star career and honoring his Latin roots.

 

Rockbjörnen Campaign

Throughout August, Omar’s fan base heavily campaigned for the upcoming Rockbjörnen 2025 awards. This effort eventually led to him winning four awards in a single night later in September, including Male Artist of the Year.
