On August 11, 2026, Omar Rudberg sat down for an interview with host Laila Bagge on Sweden's popular morning radio show, RIX MorronZoo.

The chat aired around 07:30 AM, serving as a promotional build-up right before he took the stage at the Stockholm installment of the RIX FM Festival.

🏃‍♂️ A Unique Setup: The "Treadmill" Interview

Instead of a traditional studio desk setup, Laila conducted part of the interview with Omar while walking/running on a treadmill (löpband).

🗣️ Key Takeaways & Quotes

Omar opened up about major turning points in his early acting and music career:

• The Lyckoviken Rejection: Omar revealed that during a highly challenging and low period in his life, he auditioned for a role in the Swedish drama series Lyckoviken but did not get the job. At the time, he was devastated, saying, "I died, yes, it was really tough."
• The Young Royals Silver Lining: He noted how quickly things change, explaining that exactly one month after that rejection, he landed his breakthrough role as Simon in Netflix's hit series Young Royals instead. He celebrated it as a massive "high-five" moment.
• Trusting the Universe: Reflecting on how things turned out, Omar shared his personal philosophy on handling rejection and disappointment:"Since then, I’ve always looked back at that and thought, shit... you have to trust your gut. Even if you're sad, you just have to think 'it wasn't meant to be' and I always say: 'You can’t fuck up what’s meant for you.'"
