“Red Light” is an emotional pop song about falling for someone and being unable to let go, even when the relationship seems to be coming to an end. The lyrics capture the feeling of being pulled back toward someone despite knowing that the relationship may not work — like being caught by a red light you can't move past.
The song was first performed by Omar during his sold-out concert at Cirkus in Stockholm in February 2024. Following the strong audience response, it was released as the first single from Every Night Fantasy and marked Omar's first release under his global partnership with Elektra Entertainment.

Fun fact: “Red Light” was performed live before it was officially released is worth keeping. It gives the song a little story: Omar tested it with a live audience first, got that reaction, and then released it.
