Nobel Peace Prize Exhibition

Omar Rudberg performed at the Nobel Peace Center in Oslo on December 11, 2025, for the official opening of the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize Exhibition. 

Event Highlights

• Purpose: The exhibition, titled Democracy on the Brink, honored the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize laureate, María Corina Machado, and her struggle for democratic rights in Venezuela.
• Performance: Omar performed a moving rendition of the song "Venezuela" (originally by Louis Silva) as a tribute to Machado and his home country. He also performed his cinematic ballad "Dying" during the event.
• Collaboration: He was accompanied by Jonatan Lahti on piano and Simon Santunione on percussion.
• Significance: As a Venezuelan-born Swedish artist, Omar described the day as a "dream come true" and an honor to support Machado’s leadership and courage. 

The Exhibition

• Content: The 2025 exhibition features a story of Machado's work to restore democracy, including photographs by Emin Özmen capturing the Venezuelan refugee crisis in Colombia.
• Opening: Machado personally opened the exhibition following the award ceremony, with Omar’s performance adding "emotional resonance" to the occasion.
