In June 2024, Omar Rudberg reached a significant milestone in his music career, performing his first major solo show at Sweden’s iconic Gröna Lund and announcing his first international tour.

 

Major Performances

  • Gröna Lund Solo Debut (June 1): Omar performed as a solo artist for the first time on the Stora Scen (Main Stage) at the Gröna Lund amusement park in Stockholm.
    • The high-energy set included hits like "Mi Casa Su Casa" and his recent single "Red Light".
    • This performance later earned him the Grönan Live Act of the Year at the 2024 Rockbjörnen awards.
  • School's Out (June 11): He performed at the School's Out event in Söderhamn, Sweden, as part of his summer live dates.

 

Music Releases & Pride Events

  • New Singles (June 28): Omar released two new singles, "Talk" and "Bye Bye", under the Elektra Records label.
  • Pride Month Collaboration: To celebrate Pride, he partnered with Cover Nation to perform a rooftop cover of Madonna's "Sorry" atop the Nordiska Kompaniet in Stockholm.
  • PROUD SOUND: He participated in PROUD SOUND, a multi-day writing camp in the UK specifically for queer artists.

 

Tour Announcement

On June 25, 2024, Omar officially announced his first European and US headlining tour as a solo artist.

  • Scheduled Stops: The tour, set for late 2024, included dates in London, Paris, Amsterdam, Cologne, New York City, and Los Angeles.
