In February 2023, Omar Rudberg’s activities were headlined by a major sweep at the QX Gaygala and several high-energy live performances in Stockholm. 

QX Gaygala 2023 (Feb 6)

Omar and his Young Royals co-star Edvin Ryding were the central figures of Sweden's premier LGBTQ+ awards ceremony at Cirkus in Stockholm. 

• Awards Won:
  • TV Star of the Year: Omar won this individual honor for his portrayal of Simon.
  • Duo of the Year: Shared with Edvin Ryding.
  • TV Program of the Year: Awarded to Young Royals.
• Performances:
  • He performed a live version of "Simon’s Song" with a specially added, heartbreaking final verse.
  • He closed the gala with a high-energy performance of "I'm So Excited" featuring the band Cotton Club.
