Omar Rudberg's documentary shows the star's unexpected comeback

Thought my career was over

Two years ago, Omar Rudberg found himself in a state of total uncertainty about his future. Then he got a call that changed everything. Don't miss SVT's program "Sverige!" which delves deep into the star's turnaround.

In a long and candid interview on the SVT program Sverige!, the Young Royals star talks about his career. It took off after his breakthrough with the boy band The Fooo , which split in 2017. The following year, Omar Rudberg began his solo career instead.

However, 2020 did not look bright. In the interview, he says that the pandemic affected his opportunities as an artist, and instead Omar Rudberg started studying to catch up on his high school studies. He describes that time as a lost period, where he did not know what he wanted to do. Then the call came.

– After a week and a half, I was already late with two assignments. Then I got the role of Simon, and I didn't hear from the school. I ghosted them. I disappeared and started filming Young Royals , he says. Omar Rudberg says he found out about the series through a friend. He loved the concept and desperately wanted to be a part of the production. The interview ends with him saying he has big dreams for the future. Among other things, he hopes to reach out even more internationally. Not entirely unreasonable, given the huge global success Young Royals has become. Netflix has confirmed that a season two of Young Royals will be produced.
