“Not the end of the world”

Despite the fiasco, Omar Rudberg says he is satisfied with his fifth place finish.

– It's not the end of the world. That you even get to stand here and promote your new music and that it's released. I think my music video already has several thousand views and comments in such a short time and why should I complain?

At the same time, he admits that it is somewhat disappointing that he did not secure a place in the final. – It's clear that I would have liked to go to the final and win it all, but you can't expect it that way, it's a competition and the entire Swedish people vote. You can't think that everything is gold and green forests. Prepared for bottom placement When he competed in Melodifestivalen 2019, he ended up in sixth place and was forced to leave the competition immediately even then . – Anything can happen and I was really prepared for that, says Omar Rudberg. Omar Rudberg: "What else should you do?" During the broadcast, the Melodifestivalen app started to malfunction and eventually crashed completely. This caused problems for SVT, which had to change the entire voting process at the last second. Viewers were unable to vote in the app as planned. – Obviously it affected absolutely everyone because there you missed any number of votes, which would have definitely made a difference in the numbers, I guess. But it is what it is. The app crashes, what else can you do? I'm so happy that I got to be part of it, says Omar Rudberg.
