March 2026

The Tale of the Gargoyle is the Spring/Summer 2026 jewelry collection by Swedish designer Maria Nilsdotter, launched in March 2026. Omar Rudberg has been a prominent guest and supporter of the collection, attending its official launch event in Stockholm.

The Collection: "The Tale of the Gargoyle"

Unveiled in early March 2026, this collection is inspired by gothic architecture and "stone sentinels" that act as protectors.

  • Design Aesthetic: Features 17 pieces crafted in silver and oxidized silver, incorporating motifs like soaring arches, talon-like details, and grotesque guardians.
  • Key Pieces: Includes the Nocturnal Guardian Ring, The Guardian of Dreams Necklace, and The Faithful Guardian Necklace.
  • Symbolism: The collection focuses on themes of protection, strength, and mystery, with pieces intended to act as "talismans" or "armor for the soul".

Omar Rudberg's Involvement

While not an official design collaborator for this specific line, Omar Rudberg is a longtime fan of the brand and has been central to the collection's 2026 promotion:

  • Launch Event: Omar attended the collection's celebration in Stockholm's Old Town on March 12, 2026. The evening included a guided tour of hidden gargoyles in the city followed by a party at the pharmacy-themed bar, Pharmarium.
  • Public Appearances: Omar has frequently been seen wearing Maria Nilsdotter pieces, including a signature ear cuff and a necklace that has become a staple of his recent "Midnight Sun" tour outfits.
  • Brand Synergy: The dark, gothic aesthetic of "The Tale of the Gargoyle" aligns with the "spiced and quietly luxurious" branding of Omar’s own Copper Candle released earlier this year.

In March 2026, Omar Rudberg established a major partnership with the Danish fashion brand Samsøe Samsøe during Paris Fashion Week. This collaboration focused on the launch of the brand’s new accessories line and its temporary pop-up space in France.

Paris Fashion Week Highlights (March 2026)

  • Vogue Scandinavia Collaboration: Omar hosted a video feature for Vogue Scandinavia, giving a tour of the new Samsøe Samsøe pop-up store in the Marais district of Paris.
  • The Herø Bag Launch: The partnership specifically highlighted the launch of The Herø Bag, a sculptural new silhouette designed by Head of Footwear & Accessories, Naima Chamberlayne.
  • Pop-Up Event: On March 5, 2026, Omar attended an exclusive event at the pop-up (located at 119 rue Vieille du Temple) to celebrate the Spring/Summer 2026 collection.
  • Styling: During the campaign and event, Omar was seen wearing key pieces from the SS26 collection, including the SAANNE Top and other signature knitwear.
