Album Context: It serves as the second official single from his highly anticipated upcoming second studio album, following his previous releases "A World Like This" and the Felix Jaehn collaboration "Siren". 

Creative Team: The song was produced by Elias Edman and co-written by Omar Rudberg alongside Elias Edman, Linnea Södahl, and Noak Hellsing. 

Fan-Driven Release: The track was initially going to remain unreleased. However, after performing it live during a soundcheck on his 2025 Every Night Fantasy Tour and at the Rainbow Festival in Cologne, Germany on June 27, 2026, overwhelming fan demand convinced him to officially drop it. 

Streaming Success: Upon its release via TEN Records, "Careless" gathered 138,442 streams on Spotify within its first 24 hours.
